Make a product demo video from a screen recording, on your Mac.

Someone asks what your app does, and the best thing you can send is a silent three-minute screen recording with text too small to read on a phone.

CrispDemo is a Mac app that turns that recording into a finished product demo video. Your coding agent rebuilds the screens and writes the script, CrispDemo adds a voice and music, and your Mac renders the file.

For Mac with Apple silicon. No public download yet.

A frame from the CrispDemo launch video: one video in its YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn looks, each marked Ready.

This product video was made in CrispDemo from screen recordings of PlanToCode.

How to make a product demo video on a Mac.

Four steps in CrispDemo, from the screen recording to the MP4.

  1. Add your screen recordings

Drop in MP4 or MOV recordings of your app, or use Record screen in CrispDemo. A video can use up to 12 recordings and screenshots. Your original files are never changed.

The create composer with two screen recordings and a screenshot attached, a one-sentence brief, the Create video button, the estimate for the voice, music and Gemini review, and the checkbox that lets your coding agent read the files.
  2. Write the brief and pick the places

Say in one or two sentences what viewers should take away. Then pick where the video will be posted, such as your website, YouTube or LinkedIn.

The Where will this video be posted? dialog showing phone previews for YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels.
  3. Let your coding agent build the draft

Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode reads frames from the recording, rebuilds each screen as HTML, checks it against the recording and writes the script. CrispDemo adds the voice and music.

Claude Code making the first draft from two screen recordings and a screenshot: the brief, then its steps building the Publish release screen, comparing it with the recording and building the Notifications settings screen.
  4. Review, change and export

Gemini reviews the finished video and lists what to fix. Ask for changes in plain words, then export an MP4 for each look. Your Mac renders every file.

The Export video dialog with YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn chosen, each rendered at its own size, such as 1920x1080 for YouTube and 1080x1920 for TikTok.

A voice, and changes in plain words.

Pick a voice, then ask for changes in the Studio chat.

Narration without a microphone

Choose from 8 Gemini voices and play a sample of each before you pick. Narration can be in English, German, French or Spanish.

Changes for the whole video or one scene

Ask your coding agent in the Studio chat. It answers there, and the video is updated.

A change request answered by Claude Code: it shortened scene 2's title and voiceover and updated the YouTube video.

Questions

What do I need on my Mac?

A Mac with Apple silicon and one coding agent: Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode. CrispDemo helps you install and sign in to the one you pick.

Is the video rendered on my Mac?

Yes. CrispDemo renders every look on your Mac, and rendering is free. The voice, the music and the Gemini review come from Google and are paid per use.

Which files can I export?

An MP4 with H.264 video and AAC sound at 30 frames a second, in 1920 by 1080, 1080 by 1920 or 1080 by 1350, depending on the look. You can also save captions as .vtt and .srt files.

How long does a first draft take?

In our own test runs with Claude Code, the first draft of a 20 to 40 second video took 7 to 16 minutes.
